The VTAF Telfon Upgrade is priced at $48 USD. If the VTAF Teflon Upgrade is ordered with a VTAF unit, the upgrade will be installed before shipping. If the VTAF Teflon Upgrade is purchased for installation at home, figure on about 20 minutes for the easy-to-do installation.
About the VTAF and the VTAF Teflon Upgrade:
The VTAF Teflon Upgrade applies a layer of Teflon to the bottom of the VTAF Adjuster Wheel and to the top of the VTAF Bronze Bushing. The VTAF Teflon Upgrade adds significantly to the sonic benefits of isolation noted above. The VTAF Teflon Upgrade also allows the already smooth and easy adjustment of the VTAF Adjuster Wheel to be even smoother and easier.
The VTAF offers sonic benefits not provided by the micrometer style adjusters included with some very expensive tonearms.
The VTAF allows smooth and easy adjustment of VTA with the record in play.
The VTAF isolates the tonearm from the armboard, and damps vibration, thereby preventing tone arm vibrations from entering the armboard, resonating in the armboard, and returning down the arm to the stylus as a delayed signal, which causes sonic blurring. The isolation provided results in remarkable improvement in soundstage, imaging, inner detail, nuance, air, dynamics, bass clarity, and overall musicality. There is no clinical aspect to the sonics provided by the VTAF.
