DIY Plans for Altec 828B A5 or A7 Cabinets
DIY PLANS FOR ALTEC 828B Bass Cabinets
For anyone interested in building a pair of Altec 818B bass cabinets for Altec A5 or A7 speakers, the following link is a must:
www.mfk-projects.com/Resources/Altec%20828B%20drawing.pdf

These fully detailed plans were prepared in 2004 by Marshall Kay. They were redrawn from Original Altec drawing  3D483-03, which was dated 17 March, 1972. These plans appear to be those used for the construction of Pete Riggles A7-500 speakers which are date stamped November 1976.

A useful adjunct to these plans is the following article, which was based on a similar but different plan, but provides photos which detail and help to visualize the construction process.
